Nermin Gendy, O.D.
A Quick note about Dr. Nermin Gendy,
Dr. Nermin Gendy is an exceptionally proud American. After a childhood in Egypt, she arrived in the United States with her family as a young adult. In her new country, Nermin earned her bachelor degree with honors from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, followed by a Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York. Upon becoming a New Jersey licensed optometrist, her commitment to providing personalized eye care has never diminished. In practice in central New Jersey since 2002, Dr. Gendy has many years of valuable experience fitting contact lenses, performing comprehensive eye exams (including diabetic exams), co-managing eye surgeries (such as Lasik and cataracts patients), as well as diagnosing and treating eye diseases (such as, Glaucoma, Cataracts, Dry Eye disease and Age related Macular Degeneration) in both Optometry and Ophthalmology settings at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Hospital in New York. A special area of interest for Dr. Gendy is contact lens fitting for children and presbyopes (progressive contact lenses for older patients who wish to be less dependent on spectacles). Perhaps most than anything, she enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them with all of their eye care needs. Outside of the office, Dr. Gendy loves spending time with her daughter, European travel, finding a great restaurant, sailing and -most recently-pickleball. |
